Smoked Paprika Hummus

Vegan Friendly and Refined Oil Free

One of my go-to snacks

I love hummus and bell peppers! This is a simple way to have a more mindful snack versus reaching for a bag of chips or a cookie. Making hummus from scratch may seem a bit intimidating, so I am going to walk you through this step by step using my simplistic recipe!

Step by step

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chick peas

  • 1/4 c tahini paste

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • Toppings: 1-2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tsp smoked paprika

Method:

  • Rinse and pop skins off of chick peas then add to food processor and process ~ 1 min

  • Add remaining ingredients except olive oil and smoked paprika and blend until creamy. (may need additional water— add 1 tbsp at a time until desired consistency)

  • Place in serving bowl and drizzle olive oil and smoked paprika on top.

  • Serve with assorted veggies or simply sweet bell peppers!
